What Are We Looking For?
We are looking for independent technicians to perform onsite maintenance, break-fix and installations for our customers. Technicians are needed for quick turn-around of 48 hour response times. Your work load will vary, as service requests vary. This will be part time work, and can be a great addition to your work load if you are already an independent contractor or small business owner. We find the work and handle the billing. You perform the work and get paid.
We prefer technicians who have 2 -- 3 years of experience in hardware support for network related hardware such as telecommunications, structured cabling, home theater, home automation, file servers, network equipment, and point-of-sale (POS) equipment.
When you partner with us, we provide you with the job. You will be expected to answer your phone, when we call you to discuss the service call, and your availability. Pay will vary, but on average pay is $25 per hour (From Arrival to Departure from Site). Drive time or mileage is paid for anything over 30 miles. Therefore our markets are set up in a 30 mile radius territory, and we prefer you be within that radius.
What Really Gets Us Excited About You?
• Two (2) or more years, experience in a related field such as: electronics, commercial and/or residential installation, satellite/cable installation, car audio installation, computer repair, IT
• Responsible for cabling and termination of CAT5 and other wiring disciplines
• Responsible for testing and troubleshooting of cable
• Installation and setup of rack mounted A/V equipment such as flat screen TV's, media players and switches
• Ability to setup wired and wireless networks
• Setup of interactive education based equipment like handhelds and tablets
• Other low voltage/IT installation applications or integrations a plus
• Proven working knowledge of consumer electronics
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Reliable automobile and proof of automobile insurance
